Prof. Dr. Pierre-Alain Boucard

Pierre-Alain’s research focusses on non-linear structural analysis, parametric variability, substitution and reduced order models, and high-performance computing.  Thus, he is interested in computational techniques developed in a multi-scale framework with a non-intrusive approach. In the context of optimization, extensive developments are carried out on multi-fidelity metamodel coupled with reduced order models. Engineering applications concern aerospace, aeronautics industry but also automotive and multiphysics problems.

He is also an innovative university teaching (training of teachers for higher education and for educational engineering, MOOC on mechanics of materials, Mechanical and/or technological lab work…).
