David’s research deals with model reduction and problems in high-dimension. His works has the specificity of focusing on nonlinear problems in structural calculations, a context in which model reduction methods need to be strongly adapted. In that context, a part of the research is devoted to the development of strategies to deal with the simulation of nonlinear materials, especially in the parametrized framework. Recently, the work has been extended to fatigue problems with fretting and with very high numbers of cycles. Recent advances have made it possible to address problems with 1000 parameters by developing a multi-scale parameter approach.
